IPM for Alfalfa Insect Pests (0.75 credit in NY)



This course discusses integrated pest management for insect pests of alfalfa. It focuses on correct insect pest identification, lifecycles, and management strategies that can be employed. At the end of this module, the student will:

  • Correctly identify the economically important insect pests of alfalfa.  

  • Describe the lifecycle for each of these pests.

  • Identify and use the appropriate monitoring strategies for these pests. 

  • Select and implement the appropriate management strategy for these pests.


Credit information:

This course is approved for 0.75 credits for New York categories 1a and 21.
