Management of Grape Berry Moth (1 credit in NY)



This course presents information on the basic biology of the grape berry moth and the various attempts at managing this pest over the past 30 years. It discusses the reasons why growers should care about this pest: the grape berry moth life cycle; the Grape Berry Moth (GBM) Risk Assessment development and implementation; management options, both successful and failures; and the GBM model on NEWA and how it can be used in a vineyard IPM strategy. Upon completion of the course, participants will be armed with the information they need to implement an effective management strategy against grape berry moth in their vineyard operation.
