Welcome to the herbicide-resistant weeds training lessons provided by the Weed Science Society of America. Herbicide resistance education and training are critical for advancing the adoption of diverse weed management programs to delay and mitigate the evolution of herbicide-resistant weeds. This introductory lesson was developed by a team of weed scientists in an effort to provide to you the most current information on herbicide resistance in weeds.
Students completing this module will:
- Understand the need for managing herbicide resistance.
- Know the current status of herbicide resistance in weeds within the USA and around the world.
Successful completion of this module will earn you 0.5 recertification credits for New York State DEC certified pesticide applicators in categories 1a, 2, 3a, 3b, 5a, 6a, 9, 10, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25.
*If you are certified in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, or West Virginia, check the appropriate state-specific credit information page under the "Store Menu" to confirm approval and recertification credit values.
*Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont have approved all DLC courses and awards the same credits as New York.
